We can help you to feel like yourself again.
From headaches to sore muscles, we all experience pain from time to time. But what if your pain becomes more frequent and severe—or it affects your ability to work, sleep, maintain relationships, or participate in the activities you love? Powerful pain medications and surgery have serious risks, and steroid injections are statistically ineffective for long-term use and potentially harmful.
We are pain specialists who strive not only to treat the symptoms of your acute or chronic pain, but also to address the root cause of your pain and prevent the problem from spiraling out of control. We have safe, effective therapies that offer maximum benefit with minimum risk. These approaches go far beyond alternative medicine. They represent the emerging, evidence-based standard of care used by pain specialists nationwide.
We can support you on the path to a full recovery.
How acupuncture and dry needling can help
When something goes wrong in the body, sensory messages travel through nerve fibers to the brain, where we register the sensation of pain. If the pain from a chronic injury or illness persists, these pathways can become hypersensitive—creating a system on high alert.
Acupuncture and other non-invasive techniques can address both the initial cause of the pain, and the hypersensitive mechanisms that develop over time. These therapies provide immediate relief and relaxation by triggering the body’s natural painkillers, while stimulating the repair of damaged muscles and tissues to induce a healing response. You begin to feel better, move more freely, and heal the physical, emotional, and mental effects of pain.
Who we help
Just about anyone. Our patients include athletes, veterans, busy moms and their kids, executives, musicians, dancers, business owners, and anyone who is experiencing acute or chronic pain. Acupuncture and complementary techniques can be incredibly effective on their own or in collaboration with treatments such as physiotherapy and medication.
We know that pain and fear often go hand-in-hand. We also know how difficult it can be to seek help, or to believe that your pain can improve. As experienced medical professionals, you are in safe, caring and capable hands.
If you’re in acute pain, our techniques can often provide quick relief. If you’re in chronic pain, we’ll address the root causes, work with you to create a treatment plan, and help you to change your relationship to pain with techniques such as hypnotherapy and biofeedback.
Our pain care techniques include:
Dry needling and myofascial trigger point acupuncture
Laser and phototherapy: Low-Intensity Light Therapy (LILT)
Exercise and stretching
Herbs & supplements
We recommend an integrative treatment plan, but you control how it evolves. You are always at the center of your own care.
